AISIN SEKI and DENSO to Move Forward for Vehicle Electrification
AISIN SEIKI and DENSO have agreed to move forward with establishment of a joint venture to develop module for vehicle electrification. Until now, both companies have independently developed key components necessary for vehicle electrification, such as trans axis (gear box), motor generators inverters (PCUs), etc. However, to get more automakers to adopt our products and propel the move toward vehicle electrification, we need to deliver them packaged as a drive module. We intend to combine the strengths of the AISIN Group and DENSO to develop and sell various types of drive modules to meet performance, cost, and regional circumstances. The shareholder ratio of the company to be established at the end March 2019, will be AISIN SEIKI 50% and DENSO 50%. Operations will commence in April 2019.
