Aisin Group, including Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., will jointly exhibit at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Friday, October 25 to Monday, November 4.

Under the theme of “Aisin Group technical capabilities proven by its history and challenges toward the future,” the Aisin Group will present its achievements from the past to the present, and its commitment to technological development leading the group into the future.

Aisin Group has been offering various products including many world firsts such as hybrid transmissions, car navigation systems, and parking assistant systems, by quickly perceiving social trends and changes needed to develop advanced technologies possibly required in the future and to conduct fundamental research.

On display will be “i-mobility TYPE-C” (Future), unveiled domestically, which is equipped with technologies and services that meet various user needs and driving conditions in the diversifying mobility society; “i-mobility TYPE-T” (Present), which is equipped with a broad range of products in Aisin Group business fields; and “Sports 800” (Past), Toyota Motor Corporation’s vehicle in the 1960s, which was restored by Aisin Seiki employees. Furthermore, past Aisin Group products and technologies that have successfully solved social problems in each of the CASE areas, as well as present and future products and technologies under development that aim to solve problems from new points of view, will be introduced through videos and panels.

Regarding “i-mobility TYPE-C,” visitors will be able to view a demonstration of “hospitality” for comfortable movement, including opening/closing doors and adjusting seats according to movements and driver and passenger situations, and reminding the driver and passengers of items left in the car, which has been achieved by combining technologies for detecting the car’s interior and the driver with body products.

Based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Aisin Group has chosen priority issues, including “Global warming control” and “Reduction of traffic accidents.” The group will continue to help create a sustainable society through its business activities by utilizing the Group’s cultivated technological capabilities and its wide-ranging business fields.
